Currently SummitCitySports main focus is broadcast and highlight videos for Fort Wayne Area High Schools. We have been partnered with the Summit Athletic Conference for the past two years covering its sports. During the 2016-17 sports season we broadcasted over 300 games and currently we are approaching 700,000 views. Our most popular video was North Side vs Merrillville 4A boys basketball semi-state game at 5,444 views on YouTube. The North Side vs Homestead SAC Holiday Championship was second with 4,485 views on YouTube; that game also played live on Facebook with 10,717 views. Our most popular highlight (Brooks and Butz dunks) had 30,058 views on Facebook and 1,491 views on YouTube.
With the support of Tommy Schoegler and Parkview Sports Medicine, last year we broadcasted every SAC regular season football game. The majority of which were rebroadcasts. We did one live game a week and almost all the post season games were live. This year we hope to have at least 3 of the 5 football games live.
SummitCitySports.com is a multi-media website focusing on high school athletics. It is currently used as a news gathering website displaying YouTube playlist’s and Twitter feed’s. We also collect hyperlinked local news stories pertaining to the area high schools, and categorize them in 4 sections (News, Signings, Recruiting and After High School) to our schools and sports. This year we plan to implement schedules and rosters while working with our schools to keep the information updated and accurate.
